Dr. Konstantinos Kogkolidis / General Surgeon

Dr. Konstantinos Kongolidis graduated from the Moscow Medical University
(formerly the Second Moscow Pirogov State Medical Institute, now the Pirogov
Russian National Research Medical University) in 1986 with a grade of “Excellent.”
He was subsequently appointed as a practicing surgical physician at hospitals in the
Tula Region of Russia from 1986 to 1989.
In 1989, he was admitted for further specialization at the University Clinic of the
same Moscow Medical University, which he completed in 1991 with the presentation
of his postgraduate thesis on the subject of “Cholecystopancreatitis.”
He then pursued subspecialty training in proctology at the Moscow Institute of
Proctology until 1992.
In 1992, he passed the DIKATSA examinations in Greece and had his degree
officially recognized.
This was followed by rural service at the Health Center of Servia, Kozani, from 1993
to 1994.
From 1994 to 1997, he specialized in General Surgery at Hippokration Hospital in
Thessaloniki and obtained the title of Medical Specialty in General Surgery following
examinations in 1997.
Also in 1997, he pursued subspecialty training in Laparoscopic Surgery at the
University Clinic of the Moscow Medical Research University.
Since 1997, he has been working as a private physician in Thessaloniki. In parallel,
from 1999 to 2001, he worked as a General Surgeon at the IKA (Social Insurance
Institute) of Kilkis.
From 2003 to 2018, he was a co-founder and General Director of a private multi-
specialty medical center in Thessaloniki.
Since obtaining his General Surgery specialty in Greece in 1997 and to the present
day, he has been affiliated with the “Kyanos Stavros” (Blue Cross) Clinic in
Thessaloniki, where he performs surgical procedures.
From 2026, he began practicing as a General Surgeon in Cyprus.
Dr. Konstantinos Kongolides has been practicing General Surgery for forty years,
covering the full spectrum of the specialty. He has particular expertise in proctology,
hernia management, and laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
