Andria Alkiviadous

Andria Alkiviadous is a Clinical Dietitian and is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council of the UK (HCPC) and the Cyprus Food Scientists, Food Technologists and Dietitians Registration Board (registration no. 462). She holds a BSc in Human Biology, MSc in Food Science and Nutrition, MSc in Clinical Dietetics and Postgraduate Dip. in Diabetes from the University of Leicester.

Andria Alkiviadous moved to the UK in 2020, where she worked in various NHS hospitals. She worked in a general hospital for 6 months, in orthopaedics, cardiology, and elderly wards (for nutritional support, rehabilitation, dysphagia). From 2021 – 2024 she worked in inpatient mental health units and outpatient mental health services where she worked with patients with Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, Emotional Unstable personality disorder and in Eating disorders services for the management of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, ARFID, Binge eating (overeating), obesity where she got her specialization. She also worked for a Specialised Eating disorders unit for intensive care for Anorexia Nervosa.

In addition, she worked in an online virtual program where she supported people with Anorexia Nervosa. The program was providing psychoeducation, mealtime support and meal planning. The program aimed to manage eating disorders in the community and prevent the admission in inpatient ward.

Andria also worked with people with Autism implementing the PEACE Pathway for people with eating disorders and autism.

She attended specialized courses in Eating Disorders such as Medical Emergencies in Eating Disorders from UCL University, CBT-E for Eating Disorders from Oxford University, Eating Disorders and Type 1 Diabetes, EDSA training from South London and Maudsley, Advancing Dietetics in Eating Disorders ( BDA), Eating Disorders short course for Dietitians (Leeds Beckett University), Eating Disorders and Veganism, and Introduction in Mental health, learning disabilities and mental health (BDA).

In 2022 she attended the Eating Disorders International Conference while in 2024 she attended the annual forum of “Quality Network for Eating Disorders”.

With her training in NICE approved therapies such as MANTRA, SSCM and guided self-help, she aims to improve people’s health and wellbeing by improving their relationship with food and their bodies.

In 2023 she has obtained a certificate of attendance in the FODMAP diet for the management of IBS from King’s College London.

Finally, she attended the X-PERT and DAPHNE training programs for the management of Type 2 and Type 1 diabetes.
